My xbox 360 games don't work after I play them a while?

Are you getting the disk error that says your disk is dirty and your XBOX 360 can't read it? If so take them out and clean them and if that doesn't work take the games to your local game shop and they will be able to better clean them and help fill in any scratches that you may have on your disks.

Sounds like there is either a problem with the disk, the ROM, or the memory.

Check the game disk for any smudges or scratches.

If the game gets bogged down and freezes, the cache may be overly fragmented.
To solve this problem, reset your Xbox, and hold down the A button as the game is booting up. If any button is held while the game is loading, it will clear its hard drive cache, and create a new one.
*Note, this does not effect your game in any way other than loading. You will not lose any saved data.

If that does not help, then try preforming system maintenace to clear the OS cache.
To do this, go to the System blade & select Memory.
Press Y on the HD symbol and then press X,X,Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X. Once you do this a messsage will appear saying: Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?

* Performing this function will also clear any software updates.

Need more specifics--do the games freeze, or does the system give you an error of some sort? If you turn the game off and back on, does it work again? Is the disc dirty? Check these things, and good luck!
