Parallel Journeys, by Eleanor H. Ayer, With Helen Waterford And Alfons Heck. This is a biography written by two people who lived through WWII in opposite places. She was a Jew, he was a member of the Hitler Youth, and later the German Air Force. They met as adults in the 70's in San Diego and did many presentations together to educate people about how Hitler rose to power and about their own incredible lives. You have GOT to read this one. It's in the public library.
Also these great fiction books.

The Iron Furnace: A Holocaust Survivor's Story.
Not for sensitive readers though, very brutal and honest.

Night, by Elie Wiesel, I had to read it for school, Elie was 15 when we was sent to Poland, at Buna he was separated from his mother and sisters (the were killed there) and was sent on to Auschwitz where his father died but Elie lived to see the liberation and now lived in America. Elie is my favorite writer of the holocaust. He was on Oprah and stuff so if you want to know more about Elie you can probably find that video on the internet.

The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom. Her family hid a group of Jewish people from the Nazis. They were caught and sent to concentration camps. She survived and tells the story in this book. It's really good.
