Good idea.
Let me know when you implement that.
Meanwhile, your friend is boinking her while she complains that your just too cheap.
And you gotta have a woman, someday. Harsh, isn't it?

I like silk, but it makes me uncomfortable as a vegetarian, why to they have to kill them?
I don't think not having diamonds and gold would stop theft or murder. People steal other things like cars and stereos and so on, and people get murdered for all kinds of things that don't have anything to do with money. I had my garage broken into twice and I doubt if they were expecting to find gold or diamonds.
I am a white American married to a Hindu woman, yes, Indian women love their jewelry, don't they?

I'm sorry, but you are obviously mistaken. Not every woman likes silk, expensive diamonds and gold. Not to mention not every man is the one who pays for all that stuff. I paid for my wedding ring. he chose to propose, but I paid for it. My parents paid for the wedding, not his, so I don't know what you are complaining about wedding costs for. And I don't own a single piece of silk, so what's your problem again?
Either you have a very high maintenance woman in your life, or you just wanted to get some of us riled up.
And if you look in the right communities, there are guys with just as much if not more affection for jewels and metals and silk than women. Look at rappers with the grillz with diamonds in each one, and all the gold chains and rings. Look at their large diamond studded ears.
I think men have just as much material wants and fondness for other things than women, you just have to find the right one for each guy...some like weapons, some like electronics and computer games/software, some like big expensive cars.
Not to mention, how many murders are over small diamonds, and gold and silk? Not that many if you look up crime rates, and not that many are women. The women who are murdered are done so as part of violent crimes, not due to their personal belongings. The greed you claim is generated by women is actually by men, and more so over drugs and stupid things like covetting another guys pair of nikes. Maybe you should research this more before you blanket cover women as to blame.

I agree...and if our men could give up all their play things....
big screen TV - less stress on the land fills - husbands actually would have time to do home chores.
Sports equip - our lakes would be less littered with hooks and other toxic materials that fall to the bottom of the lakes - snow mobiles - boats - our air would be less polluted - husbands actually would be home more to do home chores.
Alcohol - less cheating would be taking place - thus less stress on courts - less spreading diseases - less - less - less - once again husband would be a more viable part of the family.
Overall effect: Reduces irresponsibility - no more stealing (other peoples spouses) - thus reducing stress - financial difficulties - etc.
Benefits: Happier women....happier families.

Raise your daughters this way. It may take a good hundred years or so but you will have eventually bred it out of them. Kids learn at home first so have a non greedy household and go from there, yes this includes shiny cars & other man toys as well. You may be opening pandora's box with this so becareful!

I'm a girl and I consider myself not materialistic. Sure I wouldn't turn away a diamond ring if someone offered it to me, but that's me. I see your point, but I don't think every girl's dad pays for her wedding. Or the husband for that matter. It all depends.
