People. There is no need to insult the questioner. No doubt, she is just a byproduct of our leftist school system.
To me, it's baffling how anyone can be spoonfed so much liberal nonsense that they actually start thinking this way. The fact that people have to even THINK about this question is simply mind-boggling.

To answer your question:
As a human being, your right to self defense is the most basic and universal right. You are implying that it should be taken away. Stop for one second and really think this through. If someone is attacking you, threatening to kill you, and you are in immediate danger, what are your options?

Even the pacifist Gandhi recognized the need for self defense:

"Among the many misdeeds of British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest." Mahatma Gandhi

If you don't kill them in a self defense case then they kill you and sense they are the ones doing the assaulting in the first place I'd rather kill them than them kill me.

Are you kidding me? So under your logic I should just roll over and die so that I am not a "hypocrite"?. I guarantee that if someone was trying to kill your child, your family, or yourself you would not just let them out of concern for the murder's life. This is one of the dumbest questions I have ever answered.
