Part P of the building regulations does say that you can alter circuits, eg add a socket/fused spur as long as you are a 'competant person' but even this does have it's exceptions. It's a simple task but there are too many variables to consider to be able to instruct you. Get an electrician in. PLEASE!!!!

Since January 2005 the householder is severely limited in the wiring work they may undertake and you should refer to
part P of the current building regulations. You may be breaking the law if you fail to comply.
Please ignore the answer suggesting you use 2.5mm T&E cable, this may be insufficient in some instances.
It may seem a simple task but you are risking fire or serious injury if you get it wrong.

i am not sure what you are asking, but, if the wall socket is a plug in receptacle with 2 plug outlets, there should be two empty screws on the side of the outlet. after cutting power to this outlet, just hook the black and white wires to the empty screws. hook the green wire to the other green wire in box, making sure that the colored wires are hooked to the side with the corresponding colored wire. if it is a single socket, such as a light switch, then i cant advise you because i dont know what hookup is used in that particular socket. . i am not sure if i helped or not. if you do not have the hookup i described, then disregard what i told you. sorry
