In summary, location is the principal of real estate.
You have a market - actually a target market - for sales or for industry and production.
You have a market for distribution.
You have a market of workers available.
You have a market of land and resources available.
The industrial location = must be central to all of these resources for optimum results.

Sales is the driver - because you can have the best industrial location in the world - but without sales of what you want to product - it's worthless. This is what happened to many steel mills and other factories in America when business went to other countries with lower land prices and lower wages of workers.
