A valid question. Now is your chance to stand up & say if you are on the side of the meatheads, or if you want to improve your countries profile on the World Stage, because things are looking quite miserable for you there at the moment aren't they?

This question isn't about the Green Day song (though the lyric is from there obviously), it's about how you feel your country is being viewed by the rest of the world. So far i've had one really good answer. Hope i'll get more or my 10 points will be guaranteed for sure.

Thank you for asking!!! As a matter of fact, my handle for BBC news chatting is Dontwannabeanamericanidiot, which I thought was appropriate, as that is the reason I rely on BBC for my news instead of the propaganda we get here. Yes, we do look horrible here, and every time I see someone online or for real from another country, my first instinct is to apologize. Put me down in the "my country is pissing me off" column. And I didn't vote for that (insert bad word here) either time.

I'm not a Yank I'm a Brit; but I have spent a fair amount of time living and working over there; and I love the place and a lot of its population, their "Can-Do" attitude, their willingness to accept some failure as the price for adventure and much more besides; but for gods sake get a grip.
You insist on electing morons as presidents (e.g. Ronnie Ray-Gun & Shrubbie), you swagger around the world insisting you are right and everyone else is wrong (e.g. Cimbet Change), you support the unsuportable (e.g. Israel's anxexation of the terretories & Sadam Hussein when he was anti Iraq) and pillory those who critisise you. After all that you want the world to love you

I don't really seem to care how our "profile" appears to you. In your question you gave us 2 choices, 1) American Idiot, or 2) Part of the red neck agenda, I am neither. I think regardless of political differences, America is the greatest country in the world. I would not want to live anywhere else.
