I am just wondering how to get an appointment at Miami Ink. I am from Ocean City, Maryland and want to make the trip out with some friends and for our graduation celebration we want tattoos. We all love the show and the work that specifically Garver does. We really don't know how to get a hold of the shop or make plans to have them design something for us being so far away. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, are their prices comparable, or quite a bit more due to the popularity of the show? Thanks for your time if you have any info.

First off, Chris Garver is only in Miami when the show is filming, the rest of the time he is at True Tattoo in Hollywood. According to his website (http://chrisgarvertattoo.com/home.html#), he will be in Miami from March 27th to September 15th.

If you want to be tattooed on the show, you have to fill out the application first (http://application-miami-ink.com/) and then possibly be chosen.

If you just want to get tattooed by one of the artists at Miami Ink, you would need to contact the shop directly to set up an appointment or take your chances with being a walk-in customer. (717 Washington, Miami Beach, FL 33139
(305) 531-6351).

Third, when it comes to tattoos, you get what you pay for. If you go bargain shopping for a tattoo, that's what you will get - a bargain quality tattoo. If you are serious about getting something on your body that will be there for the rest of your life, it is not a time to be cheap. From the work I have seen when watching Miami Ink, whatever any of the artists charge, it would be worth it.

I hope this information helps you out!

I am not sure about prices, but Chris Garver used to work out of a tattoo shope that i went to a lot called Shamrock Social Club in Los Angeles off Sunset Blvd, they might be able to help you there, Mark Mahoney would probably know best. If not there you should be able to call 411 in Miami and they will have the number. Also, Chris Garver has a myspace page that you can go to. He will write back...

I don't understand the appointment question. The whole show is based on customers coming in-they aren't picked for the show. Well maybe in editing--you know. Call the shop- you should be able to find in on the web or locally by phone. I would think the tatoos are decently priced- they make $$ from the show. If they are higher its due to the quality-because-like you-I think these guys (and gals!) are great artists....
