Agree! They will NEVER work for the people of this country. The only thing they will bother about is things that make money...the rest of us can go to hell! I'm such a cynic......but THEY make me that way.

Too many cut backs for groups who they know can't fight back.....!

Greed and selfishness. This is why the bible tells us to pray for God's kingdom (a kingdom is a government) to come. Man cannot govern or even take care of himself. Every government mankind has ever come up with has been an utter failure. A good example is that there is enough food in the world to feed everyone plenty, but in countries such as America people throw so much food away and yet there are people starving elsewhere. It kills me that when restaurants close at the end of the day they'd rather throw the food away than give it away, or at least try to sell it at a reduced price in order to NOT throw it away.

The elected Government will never begin working for the people of the United States all they care about is themselves they pass laws that will help them out. They could care less about common people. They will say a lot of good stuff to get voted but when they are elected they forget about the common man.

Power corrupts. Political power corrupts absolutely.

Elected officials (especially Congress) have over a 90% incumbency rate, no matter how bad things get or how much they refuse to do their jobs.

Since the US people refuse to hold elected officials accountable for their actions, and allow them to get away with frequent illegal actions and abuses of power, what possible incentive would they have to play by the rules and actually do their job?

Because of low voter turnout, and the way people are willing to do what they're told, politicians control how politicians are re-elected. So, they can stack the rules in their favor, and spend most of their time and energy making sure they get re-elected. And that's going to continue until their constituents send them a clear message.

Good question, I guess when we the people stop electing politicians and start electing leaders. Its time we seek control over our country.
