ive had so many guy friends...but as soon as we get a bit close emotionally, either of one gets attracted to the other n the whole friendship gets spoiled.. do u think its possible for a guy & girl to be just friends?

Yes, it is very possible for a guy and a girl to be "just friends". But sometimes the situation is more complicated...
If the guy and the girl have an intimate past, or has had a relationship in the past then it is that much harder to be just a friend.
Another example, if both the guy and the girl have feelings for each other.
But in regular circumstances, a guy and a girl can be just friends as well as a girl/girl or guy/guy can be friends.

Yes, it is totally possible. But usually one of the people has to have 0 attraction to the other person.

Yes, me and a guy are just friends, and we've been there for 5 years. We know not to like eachother in that way or else it'll wreck our friendship forever.

Go watch the movie "When Harry met Sally" with Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal. This question is asked and beautifully answered towards the begining of the film. Also, it is a great movie with one of the greatest scenes in film history --- Meg in the roadside cafe faking a you know what!

If a guy can control himself and if a girl can control herself the I think a girl and a boy can just be friends.It's just the matter of understanding.

i don't think that guys and girls can ever "just be friends". there is always going to be that sexual attraction there.
