i thought i had come on yesterday but then i went to the toilet n when i went to sit down a puddle of blood come out with lumps in it n i put a tampon and a sani towl on n in half an hour they was both full up n now the blood has carmed down do you have any suggestions on y this was happening

Is there a possibility you were pregnant? I would go to the doctor and make sure you aren't miscarrying. If your bleeding doesn't lighten up you need to be seen as well. There might be a problem.

Heavy bleeding is normal during a period, but what you experienced is NOT.
Go see your Gyn for a check up. You may or may not get a D&C. Sometimes they do that for a diagnosis. I had one when I was 19 after having heavy and prolonged bleeding.

some woman have heavy bleeding on the first days of their period. I did till I went on birth control

Could be a few different reasons. Maybe you took aspirin for the cramps..that makes your blood thinner...your hormones...or maybe a condition. Ask your gynecologist for sure!

You can get heavy cycles,with lumps but if it gets to heavy you should go to the emergency room

Could also be polycystic ovarian syndrome. Birth control pills will help w/ that.
