It was a family in prehistoric times and they had some kind of pet rhino that could shoot rocks out of the horn on his nose, and then they had two blob-like characters in their family named gloops or something like that.

It actually came out in the 60s and that is the Herculoids. They also had a kind of rock gorilla and a flying dragon that could shoot laset beams

Oh I know what you are talking about...I think..was it Herculoids?
