Cheese has to be accompanied. I love all different kinds of cheese mixed an matched with so many different things. Cheese & fruit. I still love plain old American cheese on a slice of bread with mustard. Since a child I have eaten that and can't get over it. You can't beat cheese & crackers, along with some good wine. For a while, it was brie with fruit and/or ham along with some good crackers & and don't forget the wine. My very favorite for the last few years has been fresh, home-made pulled mozzarella formed up in a ball, stored in water. I just chunk it and dip in a good balsalmic vinegar and just pop it in my mouth. That's heaven!

It can stand alone but I agree, it's better with crackers or crusty bread.

I like crackers or a nice buttery baguette with it. I usually have a glass of wine with it too. It's a great combination!!
