The home pregnancy test can easily give false negatives, and one of the commonest resons is the sample is dilute. You should do the test on the first sample passed in the morning, this is the most concentrated and will give better and more accurate results. The test depends on the level of the HCG hormone in the urine, and the more you drink, the more dilute the sample is and the lowere the concentration in that sample. Hospitals use a blood test which is far more accurate, and anyone in the UK going to their GP should ask for a BLOOD test.

It does take time for the hormone the preg test recognises to build up enough to get a positive result. I had 2 false negatives. If you're in doubt, ask your GP. They'll do a test for free and you'll know for sure. Good luck.

unlikely. The blood attempt isn't a favorable/destructive. It measures the unquestionably hormone on your blood. In very uncommon situations of a few problems like ectopic pregnancies, that's a threat for it to be so low that it would not sign in for a jointly as, yet extra in all probability, you have an ailment.

Yes, some women do not have enough HCG for the test to pick up. It is not abnormal, and you should see your doctor to get a blood test, they are the best!! I hope it all works the way you want it to!! Good Luck hun... and if you are Congratz!

the likely hood of a false negative depends on how late your period is if your up to a few weeks late then it is more likely to be false than if you were a few months late. how late is your period??

don't get the morning after pill- that'll kill the baby if you're pregnant. It's very possible for false negatives.
