One screaming match is not harassment.
And No you do not have a case.
Don't waste your money on an Attorney - But you can call the local bar association and they will give you the name and telephone number of Attorneys who will listen to what you have to say at no charge. -
They will tell you the same thing.
Forget about it because in a couple of days it will go away.
Without a police report this guy would be unable to sustain any claim against you in Court anyway!

You need to contact a lawyer in order to find out if you have a case for unjust
harassment. I am more concerned about how this has affected you and your children.
This may not be the best route to pursue with this "guy," as he sounds like a big bully, and sometimes it is best to walk away from people who act this way.
Have you had panic attacks before? It is not uncommon to have a panic attack and feel that you are a bit out of control after this type of an encounter.
You were extremely smart to get the police involved, that was your best reaction to deal with someone else who was obviously overreacting and bullying.
I do not quite understand why the police made you exchange insurance information? Was there contact between the vehicles and possible damage?
If you have an insurance agent that you can discuss this with, that would be a good avenue to pursue, the agent could advise you what to do next, or if you should just sit back and wait to see what happens next.
You are crying now because you held it together when you were in the middle of the incident and did what you had to do to protect your children and yourself.
Have your children been upset over this incident? If they have you need to get a friend or family member that has experienced a similar incident to talk with them and tell them that even grownups can act like big bullys sometimes and the guy was having a bad day, and took it out on you.
If you do not have someone else you can get involved in this, pull yourself together (you can always take a shower later and cry your eyes out so that the kids will not know) and talk to them yourself.
I had a similar incident happen to me years ago, only the person I had to deal with was higher than a kite, and accused me of cutting him off (which I did not do either.) This was long before the days of having a cellphone in the car and I had to get away from him and get to a phone to call the police.
The sheriff's department caught the guy I dealt with driving at speeds exceeding 100mph nearly 15 miles from where he had been when he was screaming and yelling at me. It is a miracle from God that he didn't kill someone.
Please if you have a friend or family member you can talk to in person about this, have them come over so that you can have some emotional support.
If you are a church member, most churches has counselors available, and it never hurts to get some support in that way when needed.
I am sending you and your children a big hug. Try and have a good day, the incident is behind you and you are obviously a strong and capable woman; so you will survive this.

How detailed was the police report? Did they take your statement and one from the guy? Do you have any witnesses besides your kids?
(Your insurance company should be pressing the case on the damage to your car. If you have medical treatment within days of the incident and the treatment can be reasonably related, you might want to add that to your insurance claim. They have better lawyers than you could likely ever afford, and they'll fight your case for you, if you have one.)

Contact a lawyer only if he sues you. Otherwise, just try to forget about it. He does not have proof and can not sue you just based on hearsay.
