dont avoid it later in pregnancy, when i was 38 weeks onwards id rub it into my tummy mixed with a base oil on the advice of my gp to help get things going i also added a few drops to bath water nightly. well it did the trick! i went to see my consultant to book a induction when i was 10 days overdue and low and behold i went into labour late that night!
id say give it a go, also try some raspberry leaf tea later in pregnancy as this also help labour start.
