for like when you are on AIM or YAHOO or MSN and you go idle. what does it mean?

Idle means you stop using the messenger... It automatically puts you on idle if the program doesn't register any activity for some time... You can ask it not to do so.

Idle means your connected but have not used your mouse or keyboard for a couple of minutes. It's not a comment on your personality.

the person hasnt used AIM YAHOO or MSN for a while.or even the whole comuter. They probably wont respond if you send them a message

It means that your computer appears to be off, but it's
still loaded. So when you go to use it again you wont have
to wait for your operating system to load. Don't leave your computer like that over night, or for really long periods of
time.
