Yes some Christian ministries and agricultural societies are working on improving the food production by introducing intensive agriculture.
Intensive agriculture is good for developing countries because it requires little or no mechanized equipment and little or no purchased agricultural chemicals or fertilizer. It is labor intensive .but it is productive and pays well.
Another method being introduced is square foot gardening for families with less space and is another method of intensive agriculture. Both methods produce well and do not require much outside sources beyond seeds and some hand tools and maybe bird netting for pest control. No tractors or mechanized equipment needs to be purchased and all materials used in both systems can be and are obtained locally. Self sufficiency in food clothing and shelter are necessary for any society rather a nation or village.
Intensive agriculture helps stabilize communities as it provides both food and economic returns and is a home grown inactive.
