I 1. Divert more public money to education.
2. Encourage people to join a sector that is currently undermanned
II 1. Offer more money here, make life better, people will stop leaving. But stopping brain drain is not really a good thing, the main reason why outsourcing kicked off is because the first wave of Indians wet abroad and they either came back to open outsourcing centres or were physical recommendations to foreign employers to hire Indians. Balance brain drain against being able to pay higher salaries here, if you raise the salaries, you diable outsourcing,

In the battle against unemployment the government continues to take initiatives to stimulate private businesses. In recent weeks a new project focusing on laid-off workers, graduate students, women and migrant workers kicked off.

It is getting easier and easier to start an own company in China. Rules became and still are becoming more flexible and loans to set up small enterprises are easier available. The latest initiative seems to be a national program to turn around 100,000 unemployed citizens into owners of small businesses.

The Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) program started in July and will be set up in fourteen pilot cities until next summer. The Ministry of Labour and Social Security and the International Labour Organization (ILO) are jointly involved in the three-year program aiming to create jobs, develop the private sector and reduce poverty, China Daily writes. SIYB is also sponsored by the British Government.

In the past decade ILO has launched similar programs in 80 countries worldwide. Training courses include how to generate business ideas and start, improve and expand enterprises.

According to official figures, urban registered unemployment rose to 4.3 percent last year. The government aims to keep that rate under 4.7 percent this year. An estimated 24 million people will be looking for jobs this year.

Your statement is entirely wrong.Because in India Jobs are available abundantly.,since we are having enormous resources.Indian mindset is like that.,because worst strategy of Government job is stablewhich is created by our old generation . Younger generation should think about it, also try to get whatever the job is available. This is the concept different between India and Developed countries.here education is system also not convincingly help to Young. They have to depend their parents till the education completion.
As far as I am concerned Government should make the awareness to the people for resources development.Another worst thing free issues, for vote banking, it should be strictly avoided.Because our country under developing according to that Every Indians should think about their contribution of country's development. Next one, All fiance ministers targeting only salaried employees for tax paying. What about others?
Hence Indians should aware of country's growth..then only unemployment will also be minimised..

Broadly speaking we are responsible for this because govt. is of the people , for the people and by the people. Brain drain is simply because we have the ideas but we don't have the resources. So definitely people will go abroad to fulfill their dreams. Actually rich people are getting richer and poor ones are following the downward track. So, we have to build this gap.

good question it wud take long for the day to come though

reduce population increase. have two kids max in a family.
self employment. with small business
education and literacy is important for this to be a success
avoid corruption and mal function of govt by choosing the right person through vote. this way people can show their skills in India instead of going abroad. all because influential people get the job even if they r not eligible.
improve ur skills which employers r looking for.

yes it is possible to stop but all have to think alike and work towards it. just asking about it and talking about it wont serve good. need to execute it. if no one is supporting lets start from one person and see if that makes a lil difference.

its is the responsibility of both the public who chose wrong govt and the govt who works to amass wealth for them self than the public. so ur question is related to many questionable aspects of the society. all of them have to sort out one by one to get the success.

-people don't just go abroad for the money. they go abroad for the experience of living in a more developed society that is cleaner, more efficient, easier, and more fair.

-they don't use their skills and mind "for them." we all share this world. the work they do there supports you and your life in india, as the work that indians do in india supports people in other nations. no need to take this "us vs. them" mentality.

-greed is running wild in india these days. i know many people making 20-40 thousand rupees per month who feel like they are drastically underpaid. they live at home, and have few expenses. but, when all you want from your career is the money, and you have no sincere love of work, then you might always feel like you deserve/need more.

-even people with academic credentials can prove to be lousy employees. the reality is that most indians simply are sub-standard employees. they don't put themselves fully into their work. and, the educational system that you have that is all about memorization creates a very narrow labor force. in the West our critical reasoning skills are cultivate above the memorization skills, and in many ways it equips us to be much more dynamic employees.

-who is responsible? EVERYONE. everyone who allows votes to be bought. everyone who tolerates corruption. everyone who does stand up for the rights of everyone in your society. every man who every gropes a woman on the bus or streets. every man who rapes a woman. every police man and government employee who doesn't do his work to the best of his abilities. the whole system is corrupt, my friend, and the brain drain will continue on for decades for sure, as there is little incentive to keep the best and brightest on your soil. you can only take one step at a time, and the first step isn't reversing the brain drain- it is cleaning up your streets, cleaning up your local government, cleaning up your attitudes, and keep your hands off of the women.
