Yes, but it's very rare. A co-wprker of mine had fraternal twins 3 years after having having her tubes tied, after having her first set of twins. I know of one other person, a nurse, who got pregnant 17 years later. When they opened her up, they found that the tube had grown back.

Yes, there is a chance of getting pregnant when you have your tubes tied. The tubes are made in a connected tissue system.
When I had my last child, the morning after, I had this surgery done, because the tubes are closer to the surface, and more easily gotten to and seen by the doctor.
To make sure there was no chance of pregnancy, my doctor cut the tube and tied off both ends of it. Each tube is independent of the other.
I still had to sign a form stating that the doctor was not responsible, if I did get pregnant.
But the results are more favorable by him cutting and making the space in between the two ends.

Tubal ligations prevent pregnancy. It prevents contact between the egg and the sperm. There are several different procedures that can be done. One is called the Pomeroy. It involves a loop made in the fallopian tube that is cut out. The tie is made of a material that the body can absorb and when this happens, the two ends of the tube fall apart. It is possible that they re-attach, or the egg or sperm can cross the gap, resulting in pregnancy. I don't know how you had your Tubal Liagation done and I do know that there are several different ways it can be done, so my suggestion to you is to speak with your practitioner. The failure rate for tubal ligation is about 1.4 percent overall. So, while the chances of getting pregnant are very low, they aren't zero percent. Women who have had a tubal ligation and subsequently get pregnant are at increased risk for an ectopic pregnancy.

It is very possible. In some cases women who have had their phallopian tubes cut so as to cut off the chances of an egg reaching them, the tube will actually creat a secondary route to the egg sac, and women can get pregnant again. It is very rare.

Oddly enough, yes. I have a co-worker who had the same thing happen. She had her tubes tied some years ago, but she somehow managed to get pregnant. She did miscarry about a week later, though.

Yes, but it's not very likely. Sometimes if you have the procedure when you are young, your tubes can sort of grow back. That's one reason besides sexism that they require you wait, but sexism is the major drive here.
