See, this is what people fail to understand about our two-party system. They are really working together toward the same agenda which is tyranny. Like morons, we continue to think that one party is better than the other. Wake up people!

The current (2000 - 2004) administration continues to shred the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Adding an amendment to the Constitution protecting the flag from desecration should be interesting given all the "desecration" now taking place - see below. A flag protection amendment is unnecessary in a society that values free speech. We have become a country, however, that favors free speech that follows the pro-State line, but not opposition to it. And "flag abuse" as free speech seems to be fine as long as the "flag desecration" carries along with it the correct patriotic message. Precedents in recent history offer us a warning. That brown tinge could indeed happen here.

Bammm !! The sound of hammer striking nail on the head !!
That's the perfect point to make to the Democratic Supporters . Many of the supporters don't realize that in reality, the Democrats will do the same as the Republicans, if they were to be in charge of the Whitehouse . Democratic leadership does not say this however, they're allowing their supporters to believe otherwise, but it's only a charade. . . much like their little Non-Binding Resolutions and their inferences about impeaching the President . Pure rhetoric with one intention. .. to divide the country and gain votes based upon lies and hatred !!

For years, I've been asking the people defending the unchecked powers claimed by Bush how they will feel if someone like Hillary Clinton has those same powers.

It usually scares the carp out of them.

The Republican party was high on the belief that Tom (The Hammer) Delay had helped them to a 'permanent majority'.

They had K-street cornered, gerrymandered many democrat states into republican state governments, and a mean smear campaign to use against all challengers.

How quick things change.

I would hope so. It is there for our security, not as a political tool. Of course, a Dem Pres would probably use it as a political tool because they wouldn't know how not to.

I'm not so sure a democrat will be elected. After all, how many times can they run against George Bush without developing plans of their own?
