Start by practising with a stick of celery, you should use a smooth and gentle action to place the stick into the gearbox positions. Make sure you grip firmly and concentrate for several minutes.

Also you can use a round cushion or a tin tray as a make believe steering wheel, use this to guide your imaginary vehicle around the living room.

We used to use several chairs from the dining room arranged into a line. YES the 'BUS' simulation can also become a reality for you whenever you wish!

If you don't have a large number of chairs or for that matter a lot of voluntary passengers, you can empty several kitchen cupboards of groceries, and load this into your new 'GROCERY VAN', and use a puffé with a lift up lid, this is a great way of creating makeshift load storage. Use cardboard cornflake boxes to make up a name for your business and use sellotape™ add this on for life-like authenticity.

Dont forget to make windscreen wiper movements with your arms and "toot toots", to accompany you along the way.

Have fun!

You can use the auto gear box as partially manual by changing between gears yourself or the other solution is to put a manual gearbox on the car.(big job though)

You can get a manual for ANY car, Automatic or otherwise, it's simply a book that tells you about the car and it's features.

If it didn't automatically have a manual, how would Manuel automatically know how to drive the auto? Manually?

My car is an automatic but I can also put it in manual and shift it. I don't know how it's possible but apparently it is.
