I'm so sorry this is happening to you. You are young to have a full hysterectomy, this is part of the reason you're feeling blue. I was 39 when I had my surgery and had had all my kids. I had a huge fibroid tumor but was able to keep my ovaries. You may be feeling like you're less of a woman, and even if you didn't plan on having any more children, it's sometimes hard to think that you'll never be able to again. You are not less of a woman, it's just a few little parts of you. The Premarin should help, just give it a chance.

I wish I was there to give you a hug and help you clean up your house, or whatever else you need. Call your mom, your best friend, your sister, your church, and see if there is someone who can come and just do a few things around the house for you, while you rest. Ask your doctor or your hospital if there is a support group you can go to, or possibly someone you can talk to one on one. Counseling will help your sadness, just to know you're not alone.

Call the doctor again and ask if there is anything else you can take for the pain, ibuprofen is not up to the challenge of a new abdominal incision. Try to get up and move around, just walk around the house once in a while, I know it hurts and feels like your insides are going to fall out on the floor, but it will help you heal faster. Ask the doctor about using a heating pad or ice pack.

Best wishes to you, I wish I could be with you. Feel better soon.

Sorry to hear that you are feeling so miserable. My sister was told by her doctor that she would not be able to do anything for at least a full 2 weeks. She was up and out of bed, doing her housework within a few days. My point is, everyone is different and alot of things play a factor in how quickly one heals. If you are over weight, then this could put a strain on your body and it would be harder for you to recover. If you are trying to do too much to soon, this will lengthen the time it takes to recover, if you are in poor health, or perhaps a diabetic...this too could lengthen the time of recovery. I really hope you feel better soon. Please try not to let the messy house upset you and if you have someone that can help out, then don't be afraid to ask. Take care of yourself and God bless.
