My grandmother, bless her innocent, senile soul, seems to think that all need a good spanking for forgetting that they are, after all, only British riff-raff.
I thought I'd post this on here as a light-hearted anecdote to water down all the hateful sentiment that seems to float around between UK and US users; it cracked us all up (my sister's American boyfriend especially) and I thought I'd share it with you.
Please can all Americans reading this form an orderly queue outside my front door for a spanking, starting at dawn tomorrow : )

After voting Bush in twice, I think it would be a nice wake up call for us to get a paddling from grandma. All the verbal barbs are fun between the Brits and we Americans. And let no one be under the delusion that we wouldn't fight to the death for each other. Consider all the vocal jousting as family in-fighting. We may argue with each other, but we will be the first ones to the defense of the other. I love the UK!

Tell Grandma that there are more than just Brits over here. I come from a royal family. So we are not all riff- raff. But I do have to agree that there are a lot of people that could use a good spanking from Grandma and I am one to have them start a line in front of her house as of tomorrow. I'll get a ship and we can send them over for a whooping! :)

Subject: Doughboy funeral
Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.
Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flours.
Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times he still was a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions.
Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, two children, John Dough and Jane Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart.
The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.
