How can I get my Poulan ridding mower engine to turn over?

Checked battery, cables & safety cutoff switch under seat. They are not the problem. Have not located other switches on clutch and blade. Was mowing and shut engine off. Engine would not turn over when I tried to start it again.

If you left the mower deck ingaged, then it will not turn over. It is a safety design....

Jumper the starter once and see if it will turn over then. You can also jumper the solenoid. If it turns over you need to start eliminating the safty switches. They can be in hidden areas.
