Damon Huard. Herm Edwards started to lose faith in Green at the end of last season. And with his pathetic showing in the playoffs against the Colts, Edwards will go with the guy who got them in the playoffs last year. Huard also has less wear (concussions) on him than Green does because he has not played in as many games. In Edwards' offense all he really has to do is hand off to Johnson on 66% of the plays and then find the short completion to a receiver or Gonzalez on passing plays.

Trent Green has been an excellent quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs: last season notwithstanding, his statistics the past few years prove he's been one of the NFL's best AND most prolific quarterbacks. Critics say he's not taken the Chiefs deep in the playoffs ... and they're right. But I blame Kansas City's defense--not it's explosive, league-leading offense. However, Trent's 4,000-yard (passing) seasons are distant memories ... his poor performance in last year's finale against the Colts is burned in Kansas City fans' minds. For that reason, most Kansas Citians want a quarterback change.

Damon Huard will be the Chief's opening-day quarterback (with Brodie Croyle the quarterback-of-the-future) ... he played well in Trent Green's absence and coupled with Trent's subpar, sluggish performances after his return, Trent's time as KC's starter is over.

I believe that it will be Damon Huard. There are teams who are asking about Trent Green's availablity. Miami is very actively pursuing him. I think the Chiefs will have to look to the future soon because Green will not be able to play for much longer

Damon Huard did you see how good he was when Trent was injured the Chiefs don't need him heck the chiefs last year had more wins with Huard then with Green.

Damon Huard. The Cheifs won more games when Huard was fiiling in for Trent Green. When Green got back from injury the team didn't have any chemisty(you gotta have it) and all they did going to the playoffs was running the ball/ Huard 9 games played-1878 yds. Green-8 games played 1342 yds.

But, either was its still LARRY JOHSON'S team

I think the Damon Huard era will begin next year in KC. Keep hearing rumors of Trent Green going elswhere.......maybe Miami?

I think his time as a Chief is done.

Good Luck.

It won't be Trent Green. The reason the Chiefs asked Green to restructure his contract is so that he'd be more valuable in the trade market. I hear Miami as a possibility.

Since Trent Green isn't even going to be on the Chiefs team next year, it's a pretty safe bet he won't be their starting quarterback.

I say neither--by at least mid-season, it will be Brody Croyle.

Looks like Damon Huard will be the Man, Green is on his way out.
I think Huard will start the season and then Brody Croyle will take over the helm toward mid-season.
