ok now my new question is ..please give me some "home remedies" on how to keep flies and misquitos off you while sitting outside on the patio,or cooking out on the ol grill.besides useing expensive things,or the typical lotions and sprays you buy at the grocrie stores, i have heard of placeing a fabric sheet for the clothes dryer in your pocket does it ...any other ideas?

White vinegar applied to the skin, bugs hate the way you will taste. Planting catnip works well for keeping mosquitoes away since they hate the smell. Planting mint also works just not as well. The only drawback to planting catnip is that most cats like it. A spray bottle of water will get rid of them easily. LOL

Tikki torches citron candles. Lemongrass or any pots of most herbs repel insects. We keep a couple of tikki lamps going especially aound the grill. A citron candle and Herbs around the deck. Tikki torches are about 4 bucks.Citronella is about seven bucks and lasts a long time. Herbs enhance your life all around. Oregano, basil. cilantro and lemon grass.
I live in Jersey and boy can't wait to be able to stoke up the barbie. I have geraniums in the house we bring in and I smell the leaves for spring therapy all winter long...and now they are flowering.
