Diamonds are one of the hardest natural materials on earth and they do have a pretty sparkle to them.
HOWEVER...if you are looking for something rare, a diamond is not the answer. Diamonds are made from carbon not a very uncommon material, and there are a lot of diamonds. The reason that diamonds are worth so much is because De Beers controls the diamond market. De Beers is pretty much a monopoly and this has prevented them from having direct trade with the US because this goes against antitrust regulations
Diamonds are marketed as the best stone, but really they aren't anything rare

not always. I think it is all hype. The best jewelry, is what the person likes. They could like rubies, emeralds, opals, etc. For me-I do like diamond earrings. But for other jewelry, I like gold bracelets. And for rings, it varies. Oh, I hate pearls. So each person has there own likings.

I think that you can't go wrong with diamonds but I don't think they are the best....There are so many different and exoctic stones that it's hard to say that one is the best I guess it depneds on how opened minded you are

it all depends on what you love.....if they are good diamonds then yes...it they are cheap in price and flawed to the naked then noooo....I also love other gems like sapphires.....go for the best you can afford and if you can't afford something really nice in a diamond then buy something else....you do get what you pay for.....

sometimes but some girls truly love different jewels diamonds are nice and you can never go wrong with them but there are different jewels you might want to consider

Not all the time. My engagement ring is a White Sapphire that we got in Greece, it's beautiful. If you like it what does it matter what its made from.

Not for me.
EMERALDS are my favourite.
Diamonds are ordinary but emeralds are special and you can certainly pay just as much money for them.

personally I think it would be tacky to wear diamonds before I am forty.--breakfast at tiffany's
if you do buy them--make sure they are conflict free!!!!
