Absolutely. How can you address the problem if you don't know what it is? When I was in highschool my best friend did this to me. I was crushed. I had no idea what I had done to offend her and she refused to talk about it. After a month of her no longer calling me or accepting my calls, and no longer walking to and from school with me, I finally got her to tell me what I did wrong. Someone had told her that I said the only reason I hung out with her was to make myself look better, because she was over weight and I was thin. This was a bold face lie and hurt me very much. I felt that she chose to believe this other person over me and never asked if it were true. I loved her very much. Now, as an adult, I understand that she believed the lie because she was insecure about herself and being over weight. The worst part of this was, she wouldn't tell me who had told her this lie. The sad thing was, we sort of made up and I forgave her, but I think she had doubt as to whether or not this was really true or not, and our friendship was never the same.

I would rather just be told what is wrong. I do not like being lied to, two-faced people, or people that "beat around the bush". Just tell me whats up so we can figure it out and move on.

I am upfront with people and I think that I like the same in return. Beating around the bush is just exhausting...............

l'll ignore that friend, too. No point in talking to someone who decidedly turned cold. l'll only be friends to those wanting me to be their friend. lf they don't like me, so what?!
