Hi i wear glasses because i have a lazy eye but i really want contact lenses. I don't know if contact lenses can hide the lazy eye like my glasses do.

Depends, if you mean that you have a "squint" in your eye, contact lenses may not affect the muscles of your eye that are causing it. If your lazy eye distresses you,or causing you visual problems, you can ask your GP to refer you to an ophthalmologist, who could advise you if any surgical correction would be beneficial to you.

my great grandmother had a lazy eye and we got her contacts to replace her glasses and the contacts did cover her lazy eye and they looked great.

ya, they are the same thing but one is on your face and the other is in your eye
