I think thats it's ironic that the only country in the world that has USED....... nuclear weapons is the one dictating nuclear policy. MIGHT DOES NOT MAKE THINGS RIGHTand things like international laws and agreements need to be respected. Why is it that Israel, that has not signed the NPT is allowed to have nuclear warheads capable of wiping out the Middle East. There is no proof of Iran arming itself. Iraq war repeating itself all over again. WMD's anyone? SOUNDS SOOOOOO FAMILIAR!!

It's called hypocrisy ...How many people know that Egypt is resuming its nuclear program?Where is US outrage here?Oh,yeah,Egypt is right now serving US interests...While Iran totally disagrees with US policies in the world...and it's Bush who said it "You're with us or against us"...So what if they are not doing anything illegal? They are threatening Israel's position in the Middle East as the only nuclear power,so what is not good for Israel,it's not good for the US either...So make Iran look bad,in order to prepare an attack over it.First make Ahmadinejad look like an evil man...who would do anything to destroy "poor little innocent" Israel...which of course makes Israel look like the victim,again...So US must protect Israel somehow,and what better way to do it then attack Iran?And by chance Iran too has oil...How convenient...

War in the Middle East has nothing to do with what they don't have (WMDs and nuclear weapons). War is about what they do have: oil, natural gas and geostrategic location.

you are forgetting about the EU3 that negotiatiated with Iran (UK, France, Germany). EU3 support UN sanctions on Iran if they continue toward nuclear weapons grade enrichment.

Israel has NEVER acknowledge it has nuclear weapons. Perhaps it does, perhaps it doesn't. If Israel has nukes and hates Arab countries sooooo much and theses other countries don't have such weapons why hasn't the evil Israel already nuked Syria, or Suadi Arabia, etc?

Well I think the main argument by the US government is that Iran is a terrorist state that does not respect the safety and freedom of its neighbors (Israel) - therefore it should not be given even a slight chance to make nuclear weapons. Of course Hiroshima, Nagasaki etc. don't count as they happened 'in the course of war'.
