When I was growing up I got beat by my Dad and hit in the head with wooden spoons by my Mom. I always wanted to punch them back but never did. They are my parents and I knew that it was wrong to hit them back. I have had to deal with this as an adult and talked with them about how I felt. I moved out when I was 17 and have been on my own ever since. I have, however, forgiven my parents and now have a good relationship with both of them. If you feel like you are being hurt for no reason, talk to someone and ask them for help. A school counselor or friend.

NO NO NO NO and NO!!!!!! You do not ever hit your parents! Not only are they your parents (which you know by now are not perfect), but you should never return evil for evil! That makes you just as bad a person as your dad! You have a right to protect yourself, though. My dad beat me unconscious once over a stupid Nintendo me & my brother were arguing about. I was about 14. When I was 16 he tried to punch me while I was sitting on the couch. I caught his fist and then his other fist. I stood up. He thought I was going to hit him and he dared me to. I walked out. The next day I came back and got my clothes and stayed with a friend for a month or so. Things were different when I came back. My dad never tried to hit me again. He only lived for 5 years after that, as he had gotten cancer. I shudder to think what those last 5 years would have been like had I hit him. Instead, he died with the grim realization that the way he treated me was wrong, but with the peace of mind knowing that I forgave him and love him, and that I will never treat his grandchildren the way he treated me. That was the one thing I taught my father before he died.

You shouldn't hit him back first ask not to do that it hurts and then go and get some help and tell someone close to you in your family or an authority what your dad is doing.

I wouldn't let my parent hit me in an abusive way for no reason if that's what your asking....The parent is the one who is supposed to protect the child, so if the abuser is the parent I would fight back...Someone has to protect you right? In this case it has to be you to protect yourself....

Personally... I fought back. Being a female (That's me) too. He never laid a hand on me ever again. I taught myself to protect and hit where it hurts. And now I teach my children to protect themselves. Protecting yourself or even fighting back gives you the guts to face your fears. No matter who it is.
