Okay, your piercer should've told you how to do this. Go to the store and get some liquid Dial and clean it once a day with clean hands. You can also get some sea salt from the store and soak your piercing for about 10 minutes everyday in a warm sea salt water mixture.
Never, ever, ever use cotton balls or Q-tips. The cotton can get caught on the piercing and it'll just act like a sponge for bacteria. Instead just use your hands and let it air dry if possible. If not, pat it dry with a napkin and throw it away. You don't ever want to touch your piercing with something re-usable.
Also, you're right--rubbing alcohol and peroxide can all damage your piercing and you should stay away from them. Neosporin is also a bad idea since it pretty much works against the whole piercing idea. Just stick with Dial and sea salt soaks.

Look up 'caflon, natural solution' on the internet or ask about it at any tatoo and peircing place, its formulatd by specialists for the care of ear piercings but is advised for use on nose and other peircings too, they'll most likely have it available to buy in peircing places, you can buy a small 30 ml pot of the solution that doesnt cost much, any other solutions suitable for ear piercing will also do the trick for your nose peircing too. You should use the caflon natural solution twice a day, use a few drops, apply it with a bit of cotton wool or tissue.
Hope this helps!

I got mine done yesterday, and according to my piercer, just use water and a Q-tip on the inside of your nose, and then pull it out halfway and move it around abit to keep the hole from trying to close.
