Basically can you get pregnant after the abortion by having unprotected sex the day before??

no, everything is cleaned out pretty well, plus.... when you're pregnant you don't ovulate (release an egg) so there's nothing for the sperm to fertilize. It can be a little longer than normal to get back to a regular cycle after an abortion (or full term delivery for that matter). What you can get is an STD... so be very careful

Not much can happen. However, I do NOT recommend having sex soon after the abortion. You are VERY likely to get pregnant again.

No, because basically, they flush out the area (to prevent infection), so any lurking live sperm can't get to you even if you ovulate the day or two after the abortion.
Edit: Just so you know, an abortion jump starts your cycle so the day of your abortion is day 1 of your cycle and you can get pregnant soon after your abortion, so start using contraceptives as soon as you start having sex again (should be okay about 14 days after the procedure. Check with your doc!)

I don't know but you need to get your facts straight before you have the sex! Or maybe just stop having unprotected sex, You are already ending one life why don't your take responsibly for your action before you have to do it again. I really find it hard to believe that anyone would find themselves in this position. You should talk to a councilor and get some help.... one day you are not going to be able to live with yourself. The choices you make now you have to live with the rest of your life...... One day you are going to be looking back at an abortion.... you should get your act together before you are looking back at it with HIV.

I would talk to the doctor who is doing the procedure.Just to make sure. I would recommend birth control for you and a condom for the gentlemen. There's so much diseases out there now a days that you can catch I would be on alert .

Why don't you learn to use birth control, there are people in this world who would die to be pregnant at this very moment. By the way abortion isn't a form of birth control, you are killing a human being.

Uh... no, I don't think so. But you should use protection just in case (hell, the only time you shouldn't use protection is when you want to get pregnant or when you know you cannot get pregnant).

God, please tell me this is hypothetical and not a personal question.
Abortion isnt birth control, you shouldnt be having unprotected sex at all, especially the day before killing the child you already made. If you dont want them DONT MAKE THEM.
No, you cannot get pregnant in this way. But it reflects very poorly on your character.

I don't think so, however I am not 100% sure.. I'd talk it over with your doctor and here's a suggestion, try using a condom!
