Or should a person put down false answers containing work places that don't even exist, or places that have moved, or even put down the job that you quit and then lie and say that you didn't quit?

You may want to consider telling the truth. Honesty is the best policy. Why did you quit? My fiance quit her last job because she didn't like the ethics of the company and before that she quit because her boss was treating the employees like crap. So if you have a reason like that I think that you should come out and say it. Be proud if you have character and are willing to stick up for what you believe in.

It's always best to put accurate information on an application - it is very easy for a prospective employer to check where you worked. If you left because of a difficult situation, you can explain it to your advantage to the recruiter when you have an interview.

I would think it would depend on how long you were there and how well you did your job. Also the circumstances in which you left under. AND..if it would help you in another job that you are seeking.
