I can see the left side is held on by 3 screws, but how is the throttle side held on? Do I have to remove the kill switch housing?

I am assuming that you are having a problem with removing the old grips.

If that is the case;

remove the bar end, either with a big cross end screwdriver or a rubber strap wrench turned counter clockwise.

then find the thinnest screwdriver available that is at least 6 inches long. Wipe down the shaft with dish soap, and insert it under the old grip and work it all the way around until you break the cement, and it will slide right off.

of course the throttle side comes off with screws.

The closed end of the grip will have to be cut off.
