We're going on vacation from Florida to Boston. Is the potato chip factory a "WOW" trip or just "so-so"?

It would only be worth a visit if you're going to the Cape. If you happen to be right near there anyway, then it would be worth it. But I wouldn't go way out of your way to go there. Their potato chips ARE the best so hopefully you can find them at home. Their 40% reduced fat ones taste exactly the same as the regular ones

Dont know about that particular one but having worked many years ago in a potatoe chip factory (OLD DUTCH (Canadian)I cant think of anything you could visit that would be more boring!! Seriously...watching the giant peeler peel the potatoes/ wash them/ dump them in a huge vat of hot hot hot oil then off they go to the pickers area where they pick out the burnt ones(or the green ones). THen its up the conveyor belt roller to the various areas where they get their flavoring...each day usually had a certain flavor to be done ie Mon was Salt & Vinegar, Tues might be popcorn twists etc etc. then its packaged and boxed and off to the trucks it goes for delivery to stores.

Second thought young Kids might dig it...and there is nothing tastier than a fresh hot potatoe chip...but ask me to eat chips today and I would rather die....(and that was 30years ago at a job that was 3 months on the 11 to 7 am shift!) still hate them..

If you want entertainment on the Cape, give Provincetown a visit.
