OOOPS SORRY YES X FACTOR

the fights between the three judges were the best bit of the programme, hope we don't lose it. As for Kate, I don't think she was spectacular as a host, sure they'll find someone else.

Were they sacked? Or was it "the right time to go"?

I have to say, I think X Factor (I think Pop Idol has different judges?) will probably benefit from having some new life breathed into it as Louis was not really the most dynamic of judges and Kate Thornton, though she did a reasonable job, just doesn't have the appeal of, say, the Ant and Dec partnership.

It's becoming a slightly tired format anyway so the only way they can probably keep audience figures up (especially in the wake of the premium rate phonelines scandals!) is to try getting in some new blood.

Bring Nasty Nigel Lythgoe into the judging panel, that's what I say!! Then he and Simon Cowell could battle it out for who can be the most scathing...

I dont like X Factor any more. Its gone down hill since the first series. I think it will probably get even worse now Louis Walsh has gone. It used to make me laugh when him and Simon would argue. I didnt think Kate Thornton was a very good presenter. She was really wooden and has a really irritating voice

I personally never liked Louis Walsh anyway, so I'm not sad to see him go; I only hope the new person/people will be better.
As for Kate, that's a shame, I think everyone like Kate Thornton, but I guess ITV are trying to shake things up after all this phone in fiasco

Louis obviously can't handle simon Cowell any longer so i think it'll be disappointing not to see them fight as it was the funniest thing ever and Kate Thornton's Leaving is a criminal Offense, we should all start a petition to get her back on X factor not pop idol.

I think they are both pretty good although Louis could be a bit of a drip at times - he still gets to manage the acts though. I think Kate was really good and am sorry to see her go it's another of ITV's great ideas to change a winning formula. They really cannot afford to mess with ratings winners like X Factor they haven't got that many of them!

it's a bit weird really because they are also lowering the age limit to 14 and then splitting the 14-24 age group into boys and girls which means that they will have 4 judges.

I heard a rumour that the new judges would be Paula Abdul and Chris Moyles which might be interesting!! I think Ben Shepard will do the main presenting...or maybe they will get Cat Deeley back from the US and she'll do it as well/ instead.

Louis has annoyed me too many times in the past, with his daft decisions, I mean..getting rid of Maria and keeping that Irish girl group in was an outrage! Its lucky I dont take it too seriously.
I like Kate Thornton but its time for a change (I wish they would have axed Sharon Osbourne too, Ive seen enough of her now!) Lets have all new judges.

Happy to see Kate go. Wasn't that keen on her as a presenter anyway. Won't be the same without Louis throwing water over contestants though.

Kates far to prissy missy, it will be a much better show without her. I like Louis but think the show could do with a bit of a shake up
