Your diet has nothing to do with it.
I have the same thing as do many women. Yes the pill will regulate your periods so that it will be like clock work. It will keep your cycle normal as long as you remain on it. If you go off it your cycle will go right back to being abnormal, and there is nothing that you can do.
So YES it will work, it has helped me all these years.
But I'd say that you are way too young to be placed on the pill at your age. And you can not just go on the pill for a moth or a year or 2 and make it all better. You will be on the pill for the entire time that you have a period and except when you have a baby. You could have a daughter and her cycle will be totally normal, just like mine daughter is.
Talk with your parents and let them know about the pill and that it does help. That, that is the only thing that does make it better.
Diet has nothing t do wih it at all, trust me with that.

Unless you're sexually active (I hope and pray you're not at your young age) you should not go on the pill. As you get older your cycles will probably become more regular. Unless you are extremely overweight and get virtually no exercise or if you undereat and over exercise (anorexia) I can't imagine that this is what is making you irregular.
The best solution would be to speak to a doctor, get plenty of sleep, eat healthfully and exercise regularly. Don't let a little bit of inconvenience with your cycle set you up for health risks for the rest of your life. Taking the pill has several serious side effects and should only be used when absolutely necessary.

Yes, but I would wait until you're 18 before going on the pill. Your periods usually stabilize when you're 18.
Your body at 14 is still adjusting. That's why you're irregular.

It is an option. You really should talk to your dr. Also, yes. Your diet could have a lot to do with your period. Do you eat healthy, regularly, and not have eating disorders. If not that could have something to do with it. This is something that you should talk to your dr. about. It may just straighten out on its own over time, but there are ways to help it along and your dr. can give you the options!!

Yes! You'd be surprised how many women are on birth control to regulate their period and not necessarily for sexual reasons. Talk to your doctor about it. You may want to sit down with your parents as well because nowadays sex is rampant throughout middle school and high school, spreading unwanted pregnancy and unwanted STDs, (and in some cases, unwanted broken hearts). They may automatically assume you really want it for sexual purposes.

it will regulate your period to exactly every 28 days.
No need to change your diet.
Don't smoke- it makes for even worse potential health probs when mixed with the pill.
