Yes you can take a snap shot of your computer screen. You will have to download some software to do this, however. I used to have a program that did this. I downloaded it off the net. There are many available.
I suggest that you go to Google and type in "Screen Snap Shot" and choose one. You might be able to fine a free one.
The one I had on my old computer worked great. You could choose the section of the screen you wanted to take a snapshot of by making a rectangle with your mouse and then just press a key.
Should be easy to find a program to do this via a Google search.

For Windows XP
For this demonstration, ensure that you are connected to the Internet.
Then Double click on the Internet Explorer icon on your Desktop until it opens a Web Page.
After the Web Page loads, press the Print Screen (Prnt Scrn) button on your keyboard.
Windows will send the entire contents of your Web Page to the Clipboard in graphic format.
Now open up the Windows Paint Program by first clicking on your Start Button.
Then move your mouse over the All Programs icon to display all Start Menu folders.
If your Start Menu is set to the Classic View, move your mouse over the Programs folder instead.
Now, move your mouse onto the Accessories menu folder until it expands.
Now click on the Paint icon to launch the Microsoft Paint Program.
Then click on the word Edit, which is contained in your top tool bar area.
This will pull down a menu for you to now click on Paste.
Notice how Windows pastes the entire contents of your Web Page into the Paint program.
And all the tools of the Paint Program are available to reduce, enlarge and Print the contents.
To Print, click on the word File, which is contained in your top tool bar area.
This will pull down a menu for you to now click on Print.

To take a snapshot of the entire windows desktop on your computer, simply press the Print Scrn button on your keyboard (next to the scroll lock key). If you want to capture the active window press Alt + Print Scrn. The image is stored on the clipboard.

These answers are correct, but a further tip would be to press Alt-Print Scrn for capturing an image of just the active window.

Simply press your 'Print Screen/SysRq' button on the top row of your keys.
This will place that image in your clip board.
Now you can paste it in your favorite program.
ie: paste it in a document in Word, Publisher,
anything that will accept a pasted picture.
Good Luck!
Good Question!

I think the best way would be to use the printscreen key on your keyboard and then alt-tab in the middle of your game and copy and paste it into something like MS Paint.
