I am on Paxil for a Generalized anxiety disorder, this has caused my sexual desire to slip into the unkown. I am getting very frustrated because I want to have desire and to have a sexual relationship with my wife, but I don't want to change my meds. Is there anything I can take (herbal remedies) that will help to increase my desire and get my love life back on track? Please help if you can because we're trying to have a baby, but without desire the process has completely stalled out. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

You got some sensible advice and I can only second them. If you need to have decent libido and erection for baby making, you need to get the meds adjusted. Talk to your doctor. If that doesn't help, wean yourself off Paxil and then take alternative treatment options for your anxiety. Best wishes.

I to was on paxil, there are other meds u can take than paxil. This is some stupid side effect. If u don't want to change meds at least go to the gas station and buy some of those pills that make your wood grow if u know what i mean. but me personally I'm not taking it any more. talk to your doctor about other alternative medicine. I hope I helped or at least gave u a good Idea.....

Oh no I had the exact same thing on Paxil, I stopped taking it and immediately felt better. Paxil is famous for doing this!! I have the same thing you do (generalized anxiety disorder).

Tell your doctor you need to get off Paxil and find something else. There are a number of other choices for you to try. I found my perfect combination on Xanax combined with Wellbutrin, but everyone's different so you have to keep trying until you get your personal right combo. By the way Xanax has totally stopped the anxiety 100% but my friend tried it and it made her feel like a zombie.

Be careful don't just jump off the Paxil by yourself, you have to wean off it slowly or you'll feel insane.

I am on Lexapro for depression and anxiety, and I have the same problem as you. So true about God giving women the parts but not the desire! I am also in menopause so that's another problem. Mostly I just cuddle with my husband and he does whatever and I just go with the flow. But for a man that won't work. I think you should talk to your doctor and see what other meds you can switch to. Don't try experimenting on your own, not even with herbals, sometimes those can mess you up too.

Best wishes to you and your wife, I hope you get pregnant soon!

You can try ginko biloba.
Also the anti depressant and medicine known as welbutrin helps with this side effect to the ssris sometimes. It can be taken with celexa I think, not sure about with paxil, you will have to ask your doc if he could perscribe it on top of paxil, hope this helps!

first of all i do no longer think of God provide us sexual desires... it is something that we as people crave. the way I see sexual desires... as temptations and that i'm happy to hearken to which you're waiting till marriage. intercourse could be shared between 2 people who particularly love one yet another and there for one extra no remember what. intercourse should not be achieved with each and each individual on account which you have urges. in case you do this.. then how we any diverse from animals having intercourse with one yet another... the distinction is we've the will potential and skill to comprehend which they lack. you are going to be focusing on your destiny. i'm hoping this facilitates.

Ask your Doctor about Verdanifil or Viagra. It does work and will help you out. I am still waiting for the scientists to come up with a female pill. God gave women the parts and forgot to give them desire.
