They are made by several companies. About $300 to $700 depending on how big an area you want to clear out. Runs on 20 lb propane bottles. It's swampy where we live and this thing is amazing!

yes ~ you can send them loving thoughts and they won't bite you ~ especially the mosquitos which are brighter ~~ flies can be a bit tricky; they have bad dispositions!!!
Indoors? Screens on your windows and doors ~~
Anyplace else?
You mean natural remedies? That would mean oil of citronella for mosquitos, but I think it is best if you mix it with a bit of skin lotion just to make sure it does not irritate your skin ... I don't know of anything specifically for flies. I am sorry.
Otherwise, why not try for a repellent that is from some of the stores that sell herbal oils and other products of the sort?
Cheers!

If you want to clear your yard for a period of time, there are bug bombs you can buy and set off outdoors. They work pretty well for a day or two, we use them when we go camping.
