I heard that some new computers wont automatically adjust and we have to down load a program. Is that true? Do I just have to wait and find out what's going to happen?

As long as your keeping up to date with windows updates, you'll be fine.

Yo Pinkie
If you are using the XP Operating System ---- done updates but are not SURE that THIS update has been done--- here is the key for you to check--- Go into the control panel and click the Add / Remove utility--- when the window opens--- be sure to check the "include updates" box at the top of the page---
Once the menu of your programs and updates have developed on the page--- scroll down to the Windows entries and search among the updates listed under Windows for the update----------KB931836 ---------- If it is there----you are good to go !!!! If not--- you need to clilck over to the MS Windows Update and have the most current of updates installed (if you haven't done this -- ever-- it is quick and simple and MUCH to be advised---especially FOR such things as this Time Deal should prove to you)

And, to the dudes that think this time thing is simply a "clock set" thing--- you are apt to be finding out that there are FAR more functions going on with this "time shift" thing than a simple "clock setting" operations will cover---- there are internal things going on here that don't necessarily have to do with the sync of YOUR computer's clock---you are the ones that are liable to find genuine snaffu's in the next few days that you really didn't expect or consider---- (CLUE) If this had been a simple " set your clock" thing---don't you think that Microsoft and others would have saved themselves the effort in all of these updates issued by simply announcing--- Everybody--- be sure and reset your clocks !!!----and been done with it ???? So, guess again !!!!

If you are using some other system -- I sure can't help with that --- I am only in touch with XP OS --- so go to the appropriate update site and do an update-- it is Highly Advisable !!!

OHHHHH NOOOOOOO the clock isn't going to adjust itself????? whatever will we do? You mean that at 1:59 a.m. my clock may only change to 2:00a.m. instead of 3:00a.m. like its supposed to????

Well I guess I'll have to either always be an hour behind everybody else or, maybe, just maybe, I could right click on the clock and select to adjust date/ime and set it manually to the correct time? Naw thats crazy, it would work, and its just too simple...I guess I may have to just go out and buy a new computer that has the correct time already set.

Just click on the time, or clock and set your clock. It's as
easy as falling off of a log! The time is usually at the right
bottom of your screen.

If you have windows XP or Vista, and your windows update is running, it should be fine. If you're not sure you can go to Microsoft.com and download a patch. If you have a windows 95/98/NT you will have to change it manually.

Grinding internal noise and smoke coming out the computer is a sign of any effect... (LOL)
The wait and see is the best way to find out.
