Pele, played for Santos Futebol Clube from 1956-1975, and played with the New York Cosmos from 1975-1977. Also the Brazilian national team. He joined Santos when he was 15, the national team when he was 16, and won his first World Cup at 17. Also one of the very few people to score over 1000 goals in his career.

Without doubt...PELE of Brazil.
Started in the 50's, played through the 70's.
Puskas,Marradonna,Bobby Charlton,Beckinbaur,Cruyp...all great in their own right, but there was only one Pele.
