It is, especially when it comes after an initial acceptance and friendship, and if there is no obvious reason for it. It hurts but it's a valuable lesson in this life. You have to find your value in yourself more than in others. You have to learn that you are a person of value because you exist, that your meaning and worth are not dependent on the acceptance of other people.

Yes, it can really make someone feel like crap. But then you lift yourself up and realize there are others out there that are willing to give you a piece of their time. Sometimes it just wasn't mean to be.
