simple and obvious question, do you get loads of answers? Yet when you ask an in depth or intelligent question you get very few answers? Do you think that we just live in a very lazy society and can't be bothered to think the answer through?

You are right it is alot to do with laziness. Also it is just that some people refuse to think. God forbid that they strech their mind with thought. I also think that time is a factor. You have so much time for finding and answering interesting question. I try give the best answer that I can when I answer whatever length it takes and hope that others will do the same.

It depends. If someone asks an in-depth question and I have the time and inclination, I will answer it fully. What I really don't like is when someone just insults you in the response or just puts a fullstop to get to 2 points.
Some questions though only warrant a short answer. It all depends.

Lots of people are on here for a laugh, funny questions get lots of funny answers, in depth questions often require long answers and many can't be bothered, but there are many who give very long detailed answers.

Some times the simple question is just a little more appealing. It also seems like people like to just rush through a bunch of questions so they can get more points. I like to seek out the tough ones. I like to help. One thing that I can not do yet is ask a question. Dose that make me a know it all ? =)

Yes.. I get that.. I think it's because people want the two points and they don't want to read the small essay i typed into my interesting question. I try so hard to get a lot of answers to a question by asking interesting and short questions. I try and answer any question that is appealing to me. I will make sure it's worth more than two points. Surprise people and you can get them into your question but if they see an essay, they will only say 'thanks for the points' or 'okay' as an answer or just click back.
Have a nice day!

Think the easy/obvious ones area quick 2 points... Intelligent answers seem to get a thumbs down when people ask it and don't like/agree with the answer!!!
Or something like that?

You are correct, people just can't bothered to write up longer answers or maybe they don't have the answer to more indepth questions but personally I think it has to do with the amout of time it takes to reply.

I think because this specific section is just for less serious questions. And if you ask a serious one you won't get many answers here. But you can get more if you ask it somewhere else. But unfortunately even easy and good questions have removed for no particular reason.I'm kinda discouraged today.

perhaps youre right, its an easy, lazy way to get more points, although i would dispute the fact that we live in a lazy society, most people i know have at least one job, and are always busy!
