They're basically the same. They are processes where a different metal such as silver is covered with a layer of gold. At one time the gold would wear off easily. Not so much anymore as the processing has been improved.

Hmm..
A goldfilled bangle can be seen as a pencil.. It does not have a hole down it's core..
Whereas for a goldplated bangle, it is only COVERED with a layer ( who knows how many layers ) of gold. Below the layer of gold, it maybe steel, or maybe even some particular invaluable material..Think of it as a gold colour straw bent until both ends meet to make it look like a bangle..
This is what I infer from my own understanding.. Hope it helps.... ^^

gold filled..goldplated..and technibond..are all the same thing...
it's a base metal to which a small layer of gold is applied.
the gold will wear off eventually.....

goldfilled and goldplated are about the same but,

Gold filled is more gold. Gold plated is another medal underneath , usually nickle with gold on top . eventually in time, the gold plated will wear off and you see the nickle.

goldfilled-the whole bangle is made of pure, solid gold
gold plated-the actual bangle is made of a cheaper metal, but jus painted on the outside with gold, and polished!
be careful-don't get ripped off!!

I believe gold plated means the outside has gold wrapped around me, gold filled actually means that they poured the gold inside, but I am not quite sure, you could try going to a reputable jeweler in your area, they would be able to give good information.
