Cheerleaders in the NFL are more of a dance team than a traditional cheerleading squad. Many if not all teams have open calls. Two of my friends tried out a couple of years ago. There were over 500 women that tried out at the begining.
There were several rounds of cuts down to the final 28 women team. My 2 freinds were cut at the final cut. About 20 of the 28 spots were taken by women who were previously on the squad. Although they still had to compete, they had a marked advantage over any newcomer.

I dont think it could be that hard. My old cheerleading coach was a cheerleader for the Philadelphia Eagles. If you can dance and know how to work it like smiling and having total spirit then it should be pretty easy.If you really want to do it tryout and if you dont get it keep trying.But otherwise i dont know how you get a tryout sorry.

I'm not sure cuz I'm a guy but what I know is that there is alot of pressure of being a football player so it might be that way when you are a cheerleader.But my girlfriend always says that its hard to be a cheerleader at my school so good luck with that.

try going to the team website of your local team,I am sure they will be posting something about it in the near furure.I think it would be hard to be a cheerleader,but with the talent and hard work,it is very possible
