Why can't I install DirectX9.0c?

I can't run any game that requires DirectX9.0c. Everytime I install it, setup states that all components have already been installed. But after restarting my PC, my dxdiag still shows that I have DirectX 8.1!!!

Maybe, you don't have an original version of WindowsXP???

Perhaps your video adapter is not compatable with the latest DirectX version.

Some times it is necessary to have DirectX9.0b installed first.

Go to the manufacturer web site & find out.
