I've wondered this too. And liberals wonder why conservatives have such little respect for liberals.

It has already been said but Laura Bush has killed someone in almost the same way Ted Kennedy did. yet most people are totally unaware of this. We like to pick an choose what we talk about if it fits our interests. The fact of the matter is that all rich people can get away with killing because they have the money to do it. O.J anyone??? Granted the LA riots had a small part to play in the decision. And as far as following him blindly, people follow him becuase he is a champion of the common man even if some of his policies probably don't help as much as they should. He comes from a rich family that actually want to help those who are not as fortunate as the Kennedy's.

Mostly because only the very gullible still believe Bush's lies. You have falsely accused Ted of murder when in fact it was an accident and even with a severely injured neck he dove down over and over doing his best to save Mary Joe. On the other hand Bush's lies have caused the death of over 3000 service personnel, not to mention the thousands of innocent Iraq's that have been killed. The accused rapist was his nephew and he was found innocent of all charges. It was later shown that this accuser turned out to be a nut case. Get the facts before opening mouth.

I think it is a fabulous joke on Ted Kennedy's enemies, that after ALL THESE YEARS none of them can think of anything negative to say about him except that he was once involved in a tragic automobile accident. In the meantime, he has labored ceaselessly for the his constituents of the state of Massachussetts and for all Americans. A list of his contributions to this country would be a fitting topic for a book, a work of many volumes, as would the faults of George W. Bush; space does not permit me to detail either of these topics here.

Kennedy, like Bush, like every other person who has held public office in this or any other country, has his faults. There is a great dearth of holy angels from heaven throwing their hats in the ring to run for political office; as long as that situation continues, we will have to continue to nominate and vote for human beings.

Dems choose Ted Kennedy below the liberal lemming theory of management. he's often the 1st to feign going over the fringe of his liberal cliff of thought on subject concerns that impugn the flexibility of liberals to regulate our lives via taxation and censorship. no count if severe taxation or exposing the U.S. to terrorists, Ted feels it necessary to cover our eyes so we don't see the threats and stay blissfully ignorant until he screams "RUN FOR THE CLIFF!". At evening, he and the different left wing wealthy liberals bypass abode to their compounds, verify their stability sheets, activate their protection and experience arrogant interior the arrogance the unwashed hundreds below them are as quickly as returned shielded from the evil suited wing hoarde. As long the the masses come to a kind this is greater useful for the government to help them quite than workout the flexibility to freely think of and make money with out political repercussion for ideals, the Liberal Lemming chief aka Ted will proceed to take them over the cliff, turning away on the final 2nd together as the hoardes cascade to the rocky destiny below. Ideology the two condemns the guy to failure or elevates him to fulfillment.

Because conservatives -- who seem so dead set on forgiving and forgetting the past when it comes to their own candidates -- despise any one who is progressive and a champion of the common man. He's dealt with his past and moved on. Not tried to hide it like Dennis Hastert did with Mark Foley, or Nixon tried to avoid until he was forced to resign. And then conservatives wonder why people laugh when they try to talk about morals and family values, when many GOP leaders are divorced (Reagan, Gingrich to name a few...the Clintons remain married despite Bill's indiscretion); or are obviously on the take (remember Jack Abramoff, anyone?)

Liberals obviously have their faults, but conservatives are in no place to criticize. We'll see what further fall-out comes from the Iraq War, the Scooter Libby verdict, and this tantalizing issue of immigration that seems to have caused the inner ranks of the Republican Party to fracture.

Re: the past, I guess by entitlement you best scorn Laura Bush for her driving record, which resulted in the death of a friend oh-so-many-years ago. But again, conservatives like to forgive and forget when it's THEIR people. You know that's true. The Chappaquiddick issue is so recycled by Kennedy bashers it's almost moot. Thank your stars it's a slow morning and my coffee is still percolating, and I always appreciate 2 points while making a few points of my own, so to speak.

I doubt this will get Best Answer, but thanks for the opportunity. Coffee's on. Cheers.

The whole Kennedy family is a disgrace to mankind. They caused more pain and suffering than Hitler. Drunken Teddy should be tried for crimes against humanity.

The reality of it all, is that The Kennedy (all kennedies) blessed America with positive policies unlike Dubya's policies and mismanagement and incompetence that caused losses of lives to Americans not to mention the destruction his legacy will attest,,

"Blindly follow their leaders"? Look who's talking.

Don't forget Laura Bush killed her boyfriend in a car accident, and the investigation was surpressed.

"Want to beat down a man like Bush"? Tell me exactly how Bush has been anything close to a okay president, much less a good one, and certainly much less a stellar one. He's pissed this country into the ground, messed up our international relations for decades, got us kicked of the human rights council, no less, and has basically pissed away what generations of Americans have worked for.

I neither support him nor not support him. He is not my representative.

With that said, his constituents believe in him because he puts them first...
